The Animal Emergency Hospital And Companion Animal MRI are pleased to announce that MRI is now available !!!
We are pleased to announce that magnetic resonance imaging is available in Harford and surrounding counties. Magnetic resonance imaging is one of the most precise imaging techniques available providing high field "State of the Art" diagnostic imaging. Beginning now the MRI will be available every Tuesday at the Animal Emergency Hospital.
Imaging hours are from 9am – 6pm on Tuesdays To schedule a MRI please call the Animal Emergency Hospital at 410-420-7297. For emergency appointments please call for availability. Patients must be dropped off the morning of the scan before 8 am. Withhold all food including treats starting at 10 pm the night before the scan. Water is permissible until 6am on the day of the procedure.
It is necessary for patients to be placed under general anesthesia during the MRI procedure. An average scan generally lasts about an hour, depending on the regions being imaged. Appropriate bloodwork must be completed prior to being anesthetized for the scan. Bloodwork can be performed by the referring veterinarian or by the Animal Emergency Hospital. See attached page for testing requirements.
Prices include IV fluids and anesthesia; any bloodwork will be additional.
Images are reviewed by a board certified radiologist and results will be submitted to the referring veterinarian in 24 - 48 hours.

Any Questions please feel free to call Animal Emergency Hospital 410-420-7297.
